A-Ret 0.1% Gel (Tretinoin Gel)

A-Ret 0.1% Gel is a high-potency topical retinoid containing Tretinoin (all-trans retinoic acid), a derivative of Vitamin A. This gel is specifically formulated for the intensive treatment of acne vulgaris and is widely utilized for its powerful anti-aging properties. By accelerating skin cell turnover and promoting the shedding of dead skin cells, A-Ret 0.1% prevents the formation of comedones (blackheads and whiteheads) and clears existing breakouts. Additionally, it stimulates collagen production and repairs the skin’s elastic fibers, effectively reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation. The gel base is particularly suited for oily or acne-prone skin due to its fast-absorbing and non-clogging nature.

Key Features

  • The 0.1% concentration is the highest standard strength, offering the most intensive results for skin resurfacing.
  • Deeply cleanses pores and prevents the accumulation of sebum and debris that lead to inflammatory acne.
  • Clinically proven to increase collagen density, improving skin firmness and reducing deep-set wrinkles.
  • Smoothes rough skin texture and minimizes the appearance of enlarged pores.
  • The lightweight gel formula penetrates quickly without leaving a greasy residue, ideal for humid climates or oily skin types.

Key Ingredients

  • Tretinoin (0.1% w/w)

Precautions

  • Initial use may cause a temporary increase in breakouts (purging) and skin irritation. This is a normal part of the skin’s adjustment process.
  • Tretinoin significantly increases the risk of sunburn. Use of a broad-spectrum SPF 50+ is mandatory every single day.
  • Sunlight deactivates Tretinoin. Apply only at night on a completely dry face.
  • Do not use if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, as retinoids can affect fetal development.
  • Avoid using Benzoyl Peroxide, AHAs, or BHAs at the same time as A-Ret to prevent severe skin barrier damage.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Wash your face with a gentle, pH-balanced cleanser and pat dry.
  • Step 2: Wait 20 to 30 minutes until the skin is completely dry to minimize the risk of irritation.
  • Step 3: Apply a pea-sized amount for the entire face. Dot it on the forehead, cheeks, and chin, then spread thinly.
  • Step 4: Avoid the corners of the eyes, nostrils, and lips.
  • Step 5: Follow with a rich, soothing moisturizer to combat the “Tretinoin dryness.”
  • Frequency: Start slowly—once or twice a week—and gradually increase frequency as your skin builds tolerance.

Legal Disclaimer: A-Ret 0.1% is a prescription-strength medication. Due to its high concentration, it can cause significant peeling and redness if used incorrectly. Consult a dermatologist before beginning a high-strength retinoid journey.
