Canesten Anti-Fungal Cream is a clotrimazole 1% cream from Bayer in a 30 gm tube. Clotrimazole is an azole antifungal that stops fungus from growing on the skin. The cream is commonly used for itching, scaling, ring-shaped rashes and discomfort caused by fungal infections such as ringworm, athlete’s foot and jock itch. It has a water-miscible base that spreads easily and is not greasy. It is meant for external use only. Use it as the label or your doctor advises.
