Evimectin-A Oral Suspension is a prescription anti-worm medicine from Leeford Healthcare that contains ivermectin and albendazole. The medicine works by paralysing the worms and stopping them from absorbing energy, which leads to their death. Each 5 ml contains albendazole 200mg and ivermectin 1.5mg in a flavoured, palatable base. It comes in a 10 ml bottle and is easy to give to children. It is best given by mouth with a fat-containing food such as milk, which helps the body absorb it. If the child vomits within 30 minutes, the same dose may be repeated as advised by the doctor. The dose and length of treatment depend on the type of worm and the child’s weight, so follow your doctor’s advice. Shake well before use. Store below 30°C, away from sunlight, and keep out of the reach of children.
