Regen-D 150 Gel is a prescription gel made for diabetic foot ulcers, which are sores on the foot, ankle or leg that heal slowly in people with diabetes. Each gram contains 150 mcg of recombinant human epidermal growth factor (rhEGF), a protein that the skin naturally uses to repair itself. The gel is applied on the ulcer to encourage new skin and tissue to grow so that the wound can close faster. Quicker closure also lowers the chance of infection and supports limb preservation. It is manufactured by Bharat Biotech and comes in a 15 gm tube. It is for external use only and must never be swallowed. Clean the ulcer and the skin around it before every application. Wash your hands after applying, unless the hands are the treated area. Dose and duration are decided by your doctor, so follow the prescription. Store the tube in a cool, dry place, do not freeze it, and keep the cap closed and the tube out of reach of children.
