Dorfort T 2%/0.5% Eye Drop is a combination eye drop from Neomedix Healthcare India Pvt Ltd. Each ml contains Dorzolamide 2% w/v and Timolol 0.5% w/v. It is prescribed for open angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension when one drop alone is not enough. Dorzolamide is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that cuts down the amount of fluid the eye produces. Timolol is a beta blocker that also lowers fluid production through a different pathway. Using both together gives a stronger drop in eye pressure than either medicine alone. Having two medicines in one bottle also means fewer drops to remember each day. Keeping eye pressure low helps protect the optic nerve and preserve vision. Glaucoma treatment is usually lifelong, so regular use as advised is important. Each pack contains a 5 ml bottle of sterile solution.
