Dorzox PF 2% Eye Drop is the preservative free version of Cipla’s Dorzolamide eye drop. Each 5 ml bottle contains Dorzolamide 2% w/v without added preservatives such as benzalkonium chloride. This makes it a gentler option for people who use glaucoma drops every day for years. Dorzolamide is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that lowers the production of fluid inside the eye. As fluid production drops, the pressure inside the eyeball also falls. This helps protect the optic nerve in open angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. The special multi dose bottle keeps the solution sterile without preservatives. Patients with dry or sensitive eyes may find it more comfortable to use. It may be used alone or with other pressure lowering drops as advised. Do not use the bottle if the seal is broken before first use.
