Fucidin 2% Cream is a topical antibiotic with Fusidic Acid 2% w/w as its active ingredient. It acts against common skin bacteria such as Staphylococcus that cause infection. Fusidic Acid stops these bacteria from making the proteins they need to grow. Doctors often prescribe it for impetigo, a crusty infection seen often in children. It is also used for boils, infected cuts and folliculitis around hair roots. Infected dermatitis and eczema patches can be treated with it as well. The cream base spreads easily over small and moist areas. A short, complete course helps clear the infection and avoid resistance. Each tube holds 15 gm of cream.
