Cerulin Ear Drop
Cerulin Ear Drop is an ear wax softening solution made by Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd. It contains paradichlorobenzene, benzocaine, chlorbutol and turpentine oil. Paradichlorobenzene and turpentine oil help break down and loosen hardened wax. Benzocaine is a local anaesthetic that numbs the ear canal and eases pain. Chlorbutol has mild antiseptic and anaesthetic action that adds to the comfort. Together they soften impacted wax so it can drain out or be removed easily. This helps relieve the blocked feeling, mild hearing loss and itching that wax build-up causes. It is often used for a few days before an ear wash by a doctor. The drops come in a 10ml bottle with a dropper for simple home use. It should not be used if the eardrum is damaged or the ear is infected.
