Civaderm 1% Cream is a dermatological antifungal from Ajanta Pharma that contains Ciclopirox Olamine 1% w/w. It is used for superficial fungal infections of the skin, including ringworm of the body, jock itch, athlete’s foot, candidal intertrigo and pityriasis versicolor. With regular application it relieves the burning, itching and scaling of the infected area and helps restore healthy, clear skin.

How It Works

Ciclopirox is a broad-spectrum hydroxypyridone antifungal. By binding iron and other metal ions in fungal cells, it switches off enzymes the fungus depends on for energy and cell repair, and it also blocks the uptake of essential nutrients. This leads to the death of dermatophytes, Candida and Malassezia. Its additional anti-inflammatory and antibacterial activity helps settle inflamed skin and reduces the chance of secondary bacterial infection.

How to Use

• Wash and thoroughly dry the affected skin
• Apply a thin film to the infected area and surrounding skin twice daily
• Continue for 2 to 4 weeks or as your doctor advises
• Keep the area clean and dry between applications
