Enclex 40 Injection is a prescription anticoagulant (blood thinner) from Cipla used to prevent and treat harmful blood clots. Each ready-to-use prefilled syringe contains Enoxaparin Sodium 40 mg in 0.4 ml (4000 anti-Xa IU), a low molecular weight heparin. It is commonly used to prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) after surgery or during long periods of bed rest, to treat existing DVT and pulmonary embolism (PE), and as part of the treatment of acute coronary syndromes such as unstable angina and certain heart attacks. It helps stop existing clots from growing and lowers the risk of new clots forming in the legs, lungs or heart.

How It Works

Enoxaparin works by boosting the action of antithrombin III, a natural protein in the blood that switches off clotting factors, mainly factor Xa and to a lesser extent thrombin. By blocking these key steps in the clotting cascade, it slows down the formation of fibrin, the mesh that holds a blood clot together. This keeps blood flowing smoothly through the veins and arteries while the body gradually breaks down any clot that has already formed.

How to Use

• It is given as an injection under the skin by a doctor or nurse, or by you after proper training.
• Inject into the fold of skin on the abdomen, alternating left and right sides; do not rub the site afterwards.
• Do not expel the air bubble from the syringe before injecting, and never inject into a muscle.
• Use exactly the dose and duration your doctor prescribes.

• It increases the risk of bleeding; report unusual bruising, blood in urine or stools, nosebleeds or bleeding gums at once.
• Tell your doctor about any aspirin, painkillers or other blood thinners you take, and before any surgery or spinal procedure.
• Consult your doctor if you have kidney disease, a bleeding disorder, recent stroke or are pregnant.
• Pain, bruising or a small lump at the injection site may occur. Store below 25°C, protected from light; do not refrigerate or freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
