Graphites Ointment from SBL is a homoeopathic pomade made from Graphites HPI 1% w/w (equivalent to 10% 1x), the purified mineral form of graphite, in an ointment base of white petrolatum, paraffin and lanolin. Graphites is one of the oldest and best-documented skin remedies in the homoeopathic materia medica, traditionally associated with dry, rough, thickened skin that cracks, and with oozing, exudative eruptions – two presentations that seem contradictory but are both part of the classical Graphites picture. That range is why it is reached for across eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis and simple chronic dryness with fissuring. The petrolatum-lanolin base itself contributes an occlusive, moisture-retaining effect that complements the remedy. Marketed as a “Pomade” on the carton. 25 g tube, for external use only.
