Longdep-30 Tablet – Dapoxetine HCl 30 mg by Medisra Pharma
Longdep-30 from Medisra Pharma contains Dapoxetine Hydrochloride IP 30 mg, taken on demand for premature ejaculation. Dapoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, the same class as the antidepressants – but it was designed from the outset to be nothing like them in how it behaves in the body. Ordinary SSRIs are built to accumulate: they take weeks to reach a steady level and weeks to clear. Dapoxetine is the opposite, engineered to be absorbed and eliminated fast – peak levels in about an hour, and most of it gone within a day. That is what makes an on-demand tablet possible. Delaying ejaculation is a known effect of serotonin in this pathway; dapoxetine exploits it for a few hours and then leaves, instead of requiring a daily antidepressant for a problem that is not depression. Strip of 10 tablets.

Composition
- Dapoxetine Hydrochloride IP – 30 mg
- Film-coated tablet. Excipients q.s. As printed on the pack
Uses & Benefits
- Delays ejaculation and lengthens the time to ejaculation in premature ejaculation
- Taken only when needed, one to three hours before sex – not every day
- Cleared from the body quickly, so it does not build up like a daily antidepressant
- Helps restore a sense of control and reduce the distress that goes with the problem
- Works best alongside behavioural techniques and, where relevant, couple counselling
- A single tablet per occasion, with a maximum of one dose in 24 hours
Directions for Use
- Take one tablet about 1 to 3 hours before sexual activity, with a full glass of water
- Never take more than one tablet in 24 hours
- It may be taken with or without food
- Swallow it whole – do not crush or chew
- Avoid alcohol entirely on a day you take it, and stand up slowly afterwards
Precautions
- Do not take this with, or within 14 days of, an SSRI, SNRI, MAOI, tricyclic antidepressant, lithium, tryptophan, St John’s wort or thioridazine. Combining serotonergic drugs risks serotonin syndrome
- Fainting is the effect to know about. Dapoxetine can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure on standing, with dizziness or loss of consciousness – usually within the first three hours of the first dose. Drink a full glass of water with the tablet, and sit or lie down at the first sign of light-headedness
- Do not drink alcohol with it. Alcohol adds to the dizziness and fainting risk
- Not for men with significant heart disease, heart failure, an irregular heartbeat, a history of fainting or mania, moderate to severe liver disease, or under 18 / over 64
- Do not drive or operate machinery after a dose until you know how it affects you. Nausea, headache, dizziness and diarrhoea are the common effects
- Tell your doctor about every medicine you take – ketoconazole, ritonavir, clarithromycin and similar drugs raise dapoxetine levels sharply
Storage
- Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture
- Keep the tablets in the blister until use
- Keep out of reach of children
