Baidyanath Haldi Tablets – Pure Turmeric Extract 250 mg, 60 Tablets

Baidyanath Haldi Tablets are a proprietary Ayurvedic medicine in which each 250 mg tablet is extract of Haldi (Curcuma longa, rhizome) 250 mg, with only gum acacia and talc as excipients – no fillers, no blend of other herbs. That single-ingredient simplicity is the point of the product. Turmeric is the most-used medicinal spice in the subcontinent, but the difference between the kitchen powder and a standardised extract is substantial: raw turmeric rhizome is roughly two to five percent curcuminoids by weight, so a spoonful of powder delivers a fraction of what a concentrated extract does, and none of the consistency. A tablet gives a measured, repeatable quantity twice a day. In classical practice Haldi is a Kapha- and Kanpha-pacifying, blood-purifying rasayana, and the label lists it as useful in Vata rog, diabetes and anaemia. Bottle of 60 tablets from a house founded in 1917.
