MFC-LT Eye Drops from Jawa Pharmaceuticals is a sterile ophthalmic suspension containing Moxifloxacin 0.5% w/v with Loteprednol Etabonate 0.5% w/v. It pairs an antibiotic with a steroid because eye infection and eye inflammation are two problems that usually arrive together, and treating only one leaves the patient miserable. Moxifloxacin is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone that kills the bacteria; loteprednol etabonate settles the redness, swelling and discomfort they cause. What makes loteprednol notable among eye steroids is its design: it is a “soft” steroid, engineered to break down into inactive fragments soon after it has acted, which is why it carries a lower risk of raising eye pressure than older steroids like dexamethasone. Directions for Use

• Shake the bottle well before each use – this is a suspension, and the drug settles
• Wash your hands, tilt your head back, pull the lower lid down and instil one drop as prescribed
• Do not let the nozzle touch your eye or any surface
• Complete the full course your doctor sets. Stopping a steroid eye drop early can let inflammation rebound, and stopping the antibiotic early can let the infection return
• Remove contact lenses before use and wait as your doctor advises before reinserting. Discard one month after opening

Precautions

• This contains a steroid and must not be used for longer than prescribed. Prolonged steroid eye drops can raise eye pressure, cause cataract, and mask a worsening infection
• Never use it for a red eye that has not been examined. A steroid applied to a herpes simplex or fungal eye infection can cause serious, sight-threatening damage
• Your doctor should check your eye pressure if you use it for more than about ten days
• Report worsening pain, reduced vision, or increasing redness immediately rather than continuing the drops
• Brief stinging and blurring after instilling are common. Contains benzalkonium chloride, which can be absorbed by soft contact lenses
• Tell your doctor about glaucoma, a history of eye herpes, recent eye surgery, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding

Storage

• Store below 30°C, protected from light. Do not freeze
• Keep the bottle tightly closed and upright
• Discard one month after opening. Keep out of reach of children
