RIVAXa 10mg Tablet – Rivaroxaban 10 mg by Abbott
RIVAXa 10mg Tablet from Abbott contains Rivaroxaban 10 mg, a direct oral anticoagulant working through selective Factor Xa inhibition. Unlike warfarin, which suppresses several clotting factors and demands regular INR checks with careful attention to vitamin K in the diet, rivaroxaban acts on one target at a fixed dose. The 15-tablet strip suits a longer prescription cycle with fewer repeat trips to the pharmacy. Prescription medicine.

- Never stop without your doctor’s instruction – stopping early sharply raises the risk of a clot or stroke
- If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember on the same day; never double up
Precautions
- Bleeding is the main risk. Seek urgent medical care for bleeding that will not stop, blood in urine or stools, black tarry stools, coughing or vomiting blood, or unusual bruising
- Report any head injury immediately, even a minor one – anticoagulants make bleeding inside the skull far more dangerous
- Tell every doctor, dentist and surgeon that you take this before any procedure, extraction or injection
- Avoid NSAIDs such as ibuprofen, diclofenac and aspirin unless your doctor approves – they compound the bleeding risk
- Unsafe in liver disease; use with caution in severe kidney disease. Not established as safe in pregnancy, and avoid while breastfeeding
- Tell your doctor about all other medicines, especially antifungals, HIV medicines, rifampicin and carbamazepine, which alter rivaroxaban levels
