Luby Eye Drop – Carboxymethylcellulose 0.5%, 10 ml

Luby Eye Drop from Zodley Pharmaceuticals contains Carboxymethylcellulose 0.5% w/v as an artificial tear lubricant for dry eyes. The polymer coats the ocular surface and holds moisture there, easing the burning, sandy sensation that comes when the tear film breaks up too fast. It is an economical option for the very common modern causes of dry eye – long hours at a screen, air conditioning, contact lens wear and dusty environments. 10 ml bottle.

Key Features

  • Carboxymethylcellulose 0.5% w/v artificial tear lubricant
  • Coats the eye surface to hold moisture in place
  • Relieves burning, sandy irritation from dry eye
  • Economical option for regular daily use
  • 10 ml bottle from Zodley Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd.

Composition

  • Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium – 0.5% w/v

Refer to the pack label for the complete list of excipients.

Uses & Benefits

  • Treatment of dry eyes and insufficient tear production
  • Temporary relief from burning and irritation
  • Eases discomfort from long screen sessions
  • Soothes eyes irritated by air conditioning, wind and dust
  • Lubricates the eye surface for lasting comfort
  • Can be instilled as needed through the day

Directions for Use

  • Wash your hands before use
  • Tilt your head back, gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket
  • Instil 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) as needed, or as your doctor advises
  • Do not let the dropper tip touch the eye or any surface – this contaminates the bottle
  • If using other eye medicines, wait 5–10 minutes between them so neither is washed out

Precautions

  • Discard the bottle 4 weeks after opening – preservative protection does not last indefinitely once the seal is broken
  • Not for use with soft contact lenses – remove lenses first and wait 15 minutes before reinserting
  • Vision may blur briefly after instilling – do not drive or use machinery until it clears
  • Do not use if the seal is broken before you open it
  • Stop and see a doctor if you develop eye pain, redness, swelling, discharge or worsening vision – these suggest infection, not dryness
  • Persistent dry eye deserves investigation – it can accompany thyroid disease, Sjogren’s syndrome or medication side effects

Storage

  • Store at or below 25°C
  • Replace the cap after each use; keep away from direct sunlight
  • Keep out of reach of children
