CBMC 0.5% Eye Drop – Carboxymethylcellulose Lubricant, 10 ml
CBMC 0.5% Eye Drop from Olamic Pharma contains Carboxymethylcellulose 0.5% w/v, an artificial tear that works by mimicking the properties of natural tears. Dry eye is not simply a shortage of water – it is a failure of the tear film to stay spread across the surface. Carboxymethylcellulose is a viscous polymer that clings to the eye surface, holding moisture in place far longer than saline would, which is why relief lasts rather than evaporating within moments. Indicated for the burning, gritty discomfort of dry eye. 10 ml bottle.

Directions for Use
- Wash your hands before use
- Tilt your head back, gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket
- Instil 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) as needed, or as your doctor advises
- Do not let the dropper tip touch the eye or any surface – this contaminates the bottle
- If using other eye medicines, wait 5–10 minutes between them so neither is washed out
Precautions
- Discard the bottle 30 days after opening – preservative protection does not last indefinitely once the seal is broken
- Not for use with soft contact lenses – remove lenses first and wait 15 minutes before reinserting
- Vision may blur briefly after instilling – do not drive or use machinery until it clears
- Do not use if the seal is broken before you open it
- Stop and see a doctor if you develop eye pain, redness, swelling, discharge or worsening vision – these suggest infection, not dryness
- Persistent dry eye deserves investigation – it can accompany thyroid disease, Sjogren’s syndrome or medication side effects

- Replace the cap tightly after each use; keep away from direct sunlight
- Keep out of reach of children
