BJain Staphysagria Q is the mother tincture of stavesacre, prepared by macerating the raw drug in alcohol and distilled water, then pressing, filtering and ageing. Staphysagria occupies a distinctive place in the materia medica: it is the classical remedy for complaints that follow suppressed indignation and wounded pride, and equally for the physical after-effects of clean incised wounds – which is why it is so often paired with post-surgical recovery and with cystitis following intercourse.
