Synofluid-GM Tablet – Cartilage-Directed Osteoarthritis Combination

Synofluid-GM from Cell Salve Pharmaceuticals brings together three actives used in osteoarthritis care: Diacerein 50 mg, Glucosamine Sulfate Potassium Chloride 750 mg, and Methylsulfonylmethane 250 mg. The combination is prescribed to reduce pain and swelling by lowering inflammation, and to reduce friction inside the joint so everyday movement is easier. Because diacerein acts on the disease process rather than masking symptoms, it is generally prescribed as a course over weeks rather than taken as needed. Supplied as a strip of 10 tablets.

Directions for Use

Precautions

• Prescription medicine. Not to be sold by retail without the prescription of a Registered Medical Practitioner.
• Unsafe in liver disease – this combination should be avoided if you have liver problems.
• Not recommended in pregnancy (positive evidence of foetal risk) and may be unsafe while breastfeeding.
• Use with caution in kidney disease; your doctor may need to adjust the dose.
• Common effects include nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, indigestion, heartburn and abdominal discomfort.
• Harmless discolouration of the urine is expected with diacerein. Tell your doctor if diarrhoea is severe or persistent, and use alcohol with caution.

Storage

• Store in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
• Protect from direct sunlight.
