Zavedos 25 mg Capsule contains Idarubicin 25 mg, an anthracycline-class anticancer medicine used in selected chemotherapy treatment programmes. Idarubicin works by interfering with DNA replication and the activity of the topoisomerase II enzyme within cancer cells. This helps slow or stop the growth and multiplication of abnormal cells. Zavedos is an oral cytotoxic medicine. The dose and treatment schedule are calculated individually according to body surface area, medical condition, blood-cell counts, liver and kidney function, and the other chemotherapy medicines being used.

• The capsule may be taken with a light meal.

• If powder from a damaged capsule touches the skin, eyes, or mouth, rinse the affected area thoroughly with water and obtain medical advice.
