Samfung 100mg Injection is a single-use vial of anidulafungin for injection 100 mg, made by Samarth Life Sciences. Anidulafungin belongs to the echinocandin group of antifungal medicines. It blocks an enzyme that fungi need to build their cell walls, which weakens and kills the fungal cells. Doctors use it for serious fungal infections of the bloodstream and deeper tissues, such as invasive candidiasis and candidaemia. The pack holds lyophilised powder that is made into a concentrate and then diluted for infusion. It is given only as a slow intravenous infusion in a hospital or clinic setting. Liver function is usually checked during treatment, as your doctor advises. Nausea, diarrhoea, headache and low potassium levels are among the effects reported.
