Acrotac 25 mg is a systemic retinoid medication containing Acitretin, a synthetic derivative of Vitamin A. It is primarily used to treat severe, recalcitrant forms of psoriasis—including pustular and erythrodermic variations—that have not responded to other therapies. Acrotac works by normalizing the growth and maturation cycle of skin cells, effectively slowing down the rapid overproduction and thickening that lead to scaly, inflamed plaques. Precautions
- Acitretin causes severe birth defects. Female patients must use two effective forms of birth control during treatment and for 3 years after stopping the medication.
- Do not donate blood during treatment or for 3 years after your last dose to prevent risk to pregnant recipients.
- Avoid alcohol entirely. Alcohol causes Acitretin to convert into Etretinate, a substance that stays in the body much longer and increases toxicity risks.
- Regular blood tests are required to monitor liver enzymes and cholesterol/triglyceride levels, which can rise during use.

How to Use
