Nepcoveu Eye Drop

Nepcoveu Eye Drop is a specialized non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) specifically formulated for ophthalmic use. It contains the active ingredient Nepafenac, which is highly effective in managing pain and inflammation associated with ocular surgeries. In the field of modern ophthalmology, controlling the inflammatory cascade following invasive procedures like cataract surgery is critical for patient comfort and successful visual outcomes. Nepcoveu is designed to penetrate the ocular tissues rapidly, providing a targeted response to the prostaglandins that trigger swelling, redness, and soreness. By acting as a potent prophylactic and therapeutic agent, these eye drops ensure that the recovery phase is as smooth and pain-free as possible, allowing the eye to heal without the complications of excessive inflammation.

Key Features

  • Quickly penetrates the cornea and converts into its active form for superior anti-inflammatory efficacy.
  • Specifically indicated for the prevention and treatment of pain and inflammation after cataract surgery.
  • Reduces the risk of post-operative retinal swelling, which is crucial for preserving sharp vision.
  • Effectively blocks the production of prostaglandins to reduce ocular redness and discomfort.
  • Designed to reach deeper tissues of the eye more efficiently than traditional topical NSAIDs.

Key Ingredients

  • Nepafenac (0.1% or 0.3% w/v)
  • Benzalkonium Chloride
  • Sodium Chloride
  • Tyloxapol
  • Purified Water

Precautions

  • Use only under the guidance of an ophthalmologist, especially if you have a history of bleeding disorders or diabetes.
  • Avoid use if you have a known hypersensitivity to Nepafenac, Aspirin, or any other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
  • Remove contact lenses before application. The preservative in the drops can be absorbed by soft lenses. Wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting.
  • Excessive use of topical NSAIDs may slow down the healing of the corneal surface; follow the prescribed dosage strictly.
  • Do not touch the dropper tip to your eye, fingers, or any other surface to maintain the sterility of the bottle.

How to Use

  • The standard dosage for Nepcoveu Eye Drop is usually one drop in the affected eye three times daily, beginning one day before cataract surgery and continuing for up to two weeks post-operatively.
  • For the higher concentration (0.3%), the dosage may be reduced to once daily.
  • To apply, wash your hands, tilt your head back, and pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket. Squeeze one drop into the pocket and close your eye for 1-2 minutes.
  • Apply gentle pressure to the tear duct (the inner corner of the eye) to minimize systemic absorption.
  • Shake the bottle well before each use if it is a suspension. Do not stop the medication early unless instructed by your surgeon.
