Rabium-DSR from Intas Pharmaceuticals is a hard gelatin capsule containing Rabeprazole Sodium IP 20 mg as enteric-coated pellets and Domperidone IP 30 mg as sustained-release pellets. The reason this is a capsule rather than a tablet is worth understanding, because it explains why it must never be opened. The two drugs need opposite handling: rabeprazole is destroyed by stomach acid and has to be enteric-coated so it passes through the stomach untouched, while domperidone works in the gut wall and is formulated for slow release across the day.
