Acitrom 1mg Tablet

Acitrom 1mg Tablet is an oral anticoagulant, often called a blood thinner. Each tablet contains 1 mg of acenocoumarol. It works by blocking vitamin K, which the body needs to make some clotting factors. This slows clot formation and helps prevent harmful clots in the legs, lungs, heart and brain. Doctors prescribe it for deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism and stroke prevention. It is also used in people with certain heart rhythm problems or artificial heart valves. The dose is set from regular blood tests, so follow up visits are important. The medicine is made by Abbott and a strip holds 30 tablets. Take it at a fixed time each day and never stop it suddenly. Bleeding is the most common side effect and needs a doctor attention.
